Round 82 of the AlHimyan Perfume Battle puts the champion on the line once more. Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos walks in with twenty-seven straight wins, already the longest reign this tournament has ever seen. Its challenger is a very different kind of scent: Calvin Klein Eternity Night, the creamy floral evening flanker of the classic Eternity.

This is honey-tobacco niche against an affordable designer floral. Naxos is warm, sweet and enveloping. Eternity Night is soft and fruity, with plum and pink pepper over frangipani and jasmine, settling on musk, sandalwood and tonka bean. Both are available at AlHimyan in the UAE, and both Fragrantica and Parfumo were reachable today, so the full scoring formula is in use.

Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos: the champion

Naxos belongs to the Xerjoff 1861 collection, a tribute to the unification of Italy, and it sits at number one among unisex fragrances on Parfumo. It opens with lavender, bergamot and lemon with a thread of Omani frankincense. The heart brings honey, cinnamon and jasmine sambac over soft cashmere wood.

The dry-down of tobacco, tonka bean and vanilla is warm and creamy without turning sticky. Fragrantica voters name sweet, honey, vanilla and tobacco as its main accords. It wears long and stays on fabric into the next day.

Calvin Klein Eternity Night: the challenger

Calvin Klein launched Eternity in 1988, and in August 2014 the house added two evening versions: Eternity Night and Eternity Night for Men. The campaign brought back Christy Turlington, the face of the original Eternity, alongside her husband Ed Burns.

Eternity Night opens with damson plum, elderberry and pink pepper, juicy and slightly spicy. The heart is a soft bouquet of frangipani, wisteria and jasmine. Musk, sandalwood and tonka bean give it a creamy, skin-like base. Fragrantica lists floral, fruity, white floral and musky as its main accords. It is gentle and easy to wear rather than bold.

Scent quality. Naxos leads on both sites: 4.49 against 3.75 on Fragrantica and 8.9 against 6.9 on Parfumo. The Naxos numbers come from tens of thousands of people, so they are very stable. Eternity Night has far fewer votes, so its scores could still move.

Performance. This is the widest gap of the round. Parfumo users give Naxos 8.8 for longevity and 8.5 for sillage, while Eternity Night gets 5.6 and 5.5. Eternity Night is a close-to-the-skin scent; Naxos fills a room.

Value. Here Eternity Night has the edge. At AlHimyan it costs AED 320 for 100 ml, about 2.7 times cheaper per ml than Naxos at AED 869. Because Parfumo has no value votes for Eternity Night, we scored its value at 8.0 from that shelf price; Naxos keeps its Parfumo community value score of 7.6.

Winner: Xerjoff XJ 1861 Naxos. The champion takes its twenty-eighth consecutive round by a margin of 1.74. Eternity Night wins on price, but Naxos is ahead on scent and clearly ahead on longevity and sillage.

A note on method. Fragrantica and Parfumo figures were read on 6 October 2026, and Fragrantica ratings were converted to a 10-point scale. Longevity and sillage come from Parfumo community bars. The only figure not taken from a community vote is the Eternity Night value score, which is based on the AlHimyan shelf price per ml as explained above.

Buy Naxos if you want a rich honey-tobacco scent with strong projection that lasts all day and night.

Buy Eternity Night if you want a soft, creamy floral for daily wear, a light gift, or a budget-friendly evening scent that stays close and never overwhelms.

How to wear them in the UAE

Naxos is rich, so two sprays are enough: one on the neck and one on the chest or the kandura collar. It suits cool evenings, air-conditioned majlis gatherings and the winter months from November onwards.

Eternity Night is gentle. Three or four sprays on the neck, wrists and clothes will carry it further, and a touch on the shayla or abaya helps it last. It works for dinners, family visits and the office, and it layers well under a light musk or a rose oil for more depth.
