The Alchemist's Garden is Gucci's haute perfumery line, composed by Alberto Morillas under Alessandro Michele's direction and launched in 2019. A Nocturnal Whisper is its shadow: an oud extract blended with benzoin, leather and saffron, thick and animalic in the way only an oil can be. It arrives in the collection's mint-green flacon, 20ml, gold peacock crest on the box.

An oil behaves differently from a spray - it sits on the skin, radiates slowly and lasts. Wear it alone on cool evenings, or use it the way the collection intends, layered underneath one of the eaux de parfum to add contrast and depth.
