Faconnable for Men was launched in 1994 by the French sportswear house of the same name. It opens on mint, orange blossom and mandarin orange, moves through a floral heart of jasmine, geranium and rose, and settles on sandalwood, musk and amber.
It wears as a woody floral musk - clean and well-mannered rather than loud, with the easy Mediterranean polish the house is known for. Good for daytime, the office and warm-weather wear, where the mint and citrus stay lively and the musky base keeps it close to the skin.
