The Spirit of Dubai built Dubai Majalis as a scent portrait of an Emirati gathering. Bergamot, sweet orange, Taif rose and cardamom open the composition alongside peach, apple and green facets. The heart turns spicier and woodier with saffron, ginger, clove, coriander, sandalwood, vetiver and dates, before the base settles into Arabic coffee, honey, myrrh, oud, leather, patchouli, vanilla and musk.

It is a full-bodied, resinous fragrance that comes into its own on cooler evenings — a family majlis, a winter gathering, a long night out — where its coffee-and-oud warmth has room to unfold slowly.
