It opens with Saffron, Cinnamon and Cardamom, develops a heart of Dates, Agarwood (Oud), Caramel and Sugar Cane, and dries down on Madagascar Vanilla, Cacao Butter, Tonka and Leather. A sweet-oriental oud extrait for winter and autumn evenings.

The defining adventure: smelling oud while attending a hidden party in a palm grove.

Maison Crivelli built Oud Cadenza around that memory and handed it to perfumer Jordi Fernandez to compose. It opens bright and spiced on saffron, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, then falls into a heart where agarwood (oud) meets dates, caramel and toasted sugar cane, with myrrh and davana holding the line. The drydown is the long part: Madagascar vanilla, cacao butter, tonka and leather over patchouli and labdanum, built largely from Givaudan ORPUR naturals. It is an extrait de parfum, and it behaves like one.

This is a cold-weather, after-dark fragrance. It comes into its own on winter and autumn evenings, at weddings and majlis gatherings, and anywhere the room is meant to remember you. Projection and longevity are both well above average. Rated 4.5/5 by the Fragrantica community.
